When InterContinental Montreal was aquired by Pandox 2007 it was positioned as a traditional international style business and conference hotel. The product lacked a local profile and primarily competed through its location. This was the strategic starting point for a comprehensive investment and upgrade program. Through changes in layout, design, management and style, the hotel has been given a new concept with a boutique feel. Since completing the investment in 2010, the hotel has strengthened its position and is now one of the city’s leading hotels with regard to RevPAR development.
In 2013, extensive refurbishments of the conference areas in the adjacent Nordheimer building were completed to ensure a consistent and updated product in order to target new business segments.
- Investment program: 11 MCAD
- Actions 2008-2013: Refurbishment and modernisation of all 357 rooms, development of a new restaurant and bar concept, as well as upgrading the lobby and meeting facilities. Development program in the Nordheimer building during 2013.
